Machine wefted or machine weft hair extensions refer to products which have been sewn or "wefted" to create the bundle of extensions. Loose or "bulk" hair is fed through a triple-head sewing machine to add a reinforced stitch near the top (root) of the individual strands. The hair is then folded over and stitched again to create the final wefted extensions.
Machine wefted hair extensions can be found in from grade 10A, Grade 9A, grade 8A, grade 7A, grade 6A+, grade 6A, grade 5A, grade 4A+, grade 4A, grade 3A+, grade 3A, grade 2A+, grade AA and Grade A. While mostly used as a technique for permanent extensions (sewn in), machine wefted ‘hair extensions’ are also used as the base to create line of clip in extensions.
Machine wefts are one continuous track that your stylist can be cut according to the length you need. The track is a bit thicker than hand tied weft, but it's not thick by any means.
Machine weft hair is the more common of the two. However, many customers prefer the thin and undetectable hand tied track.
